El Duderino Espresso Blend Medium-Dark Roast
Espresso blend of 4 beans. Roasted to a Medium-Dark roast. A bit different from our Dark roast espresso with the addition of Bolivian beans.
Tasting Notes
Aroma
Rich milk chocolate, toasted caramel, warm spices, toasted hazelnut, and delicate floral-citrus notes from the Bolivian Caranavi.
Flavor Profile
• Dominant: Milk chocolate and dark chocolate with caramel and toffee sweetness
• Secondary: Toasted hazelnut and almond nuttiness (Brazil), warm spices (Malabar), and bright red apple, tangerine, and subtle floral elegance (from the Bolivian Caranavi)
• Body: Full and syrupy with velvety mouthfeel
• Acidity: Low to medium — gentle and balanced, with a nice bright citrus lift from the Caranavi that prevents the blend from feeling too heavy
• Aftertaste: Smooth lingering chocolate, warm spice, and a clean, sweet floral finish
Role of the Bolivian Caranavi
Even at a small percentage, the high-altitude Caranavi adds an important elegant lift — it brings subtle floral and citrus brightness that brightens the cup, adds complexity, and keeps the blend from becoming one-dimensional dark chocolate. It’s the “sparkle” in the blend.
Overall Character
A rich, chocolate-forward espresso with excellent crema, full body, and just enough nuance and brightness from the Bolivian bean to stay interesting. Approachable for daily use while still refined. Performs beautifully straight or with milk.
